Are You on Track? Check in and Explore Programs 

No classes are held before 3 p.m. on Educational Planning Day, held once per quarter. This is your chance to: 

  • Check in with your advisor to make sure your program completion, graduation, transfer and career goals are on track. ** PLEASE NOTE: Some departments, such as Running Start, will not be able to individually advise every student on Educational Planning Day. Feel free to make an appointment for a date before or after Educational Planning Day.** 
  • Patricipate in group advising activities. 
  • Explore programs that interest you.

Information Systems Power Up Event 

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 
Location: Building 16, Room 319 
P.C. problems? Bring your computer or device to the Information Systems Power Up event! Free and open to all TCC students and employees. Intake ends at 1 p.m. Please do not bring college-owned computers or devices.

These information sessions, group advising sessions, and other activities offer more in-depth information about program completion, transfer pathways, and career options for students currently in programs. Students who want to learn more about a particular program are also welcome to attend.

 

Art Open House 

Time: 9 a.m. - noon 

Location: Building 5 

Ever thought about taking an art class at TCC? You can earn a Humanities Distribution credit or College Level Elective by taking an art class. Stop by the ART Building (5) and see the variety of media we teach. Student work will be on display.

 

Creative Arts, Literature, and Communication Open House

Time: 11 a.m. - noon

Engineering Information Session 

 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location: Building 16 Room 106

  • Information for Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Aero/Astro, Industrial, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical, Manufacturing and Materials Science Engineering students. Up-to-date information about TCC offerings and university engineering program requirements.  
  • Guest Speaker:  each quarter, we'll have an engineer from a different discipline tell you more about their career path and recommendations. Questions are encouraged! This quarter we have TCC alumnus Aaron Hulst, who is the City Engineer for the City of Gig Harbor. 

Aaron Hulst, PE, is the City Engineer for the City of Gig Harbor. He attended TCC's engineering program from 2006-2009. He earned his BS from UW-Seattle in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2011, and soon thereafter passed the EIT exam. He worked for the City of Poulsbo from 2011-2017 and became a licensed professional engineer in 2016. He began working for the City of Gig Harbor in 2017 as a Senior Engineer, responsible for design, implementation, and construction of capital (parks, water, wastewater, streets) projects. Currently the City Engineer for The City of Gig Harbor, Aaron and his team design and construct approximately $50M in city capital projects every two years.

A mandatory meeting for declcared music majors. Topics: the music industruy, developing practice habits. 

 

Paralegal Advising 

Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Location: Building 7 Advising Office 

Meet with a Paralegal Studies advisor or faculty member to plan out your schedule. Confirm which classes are needed to complete your degree, get advice about the order in which to take classes, and get information about the PLST 233 Internship, which is required for graduation from this program.
